Usually lizards, birds and small mammals are all nose-horned vipers known to go for. They are also known for going after centipedes but only occasionally. This viper unfortunately met a tragic end by going after a centipede which didn’t want to give up without putting a fight.

The post-mortem reports gave a vague idea of the centipede being consumed by the viper. However, the centipede managed to find a way out of the viper’s stomach and succeeded in doing so. This was confirmed with the snake’s vital organs all missing during examination.
